Filipino swimmer Jessie Lacuna missed the podium in the men's 200-meter freestyle despite clocking in the best time in the heats on Saturday.

The young tanker finished at fourth place with 1:50.82, at least 1.86 seconds behind medalists Quy Phuoc Hoang of Vietnam, Zheng Wen Quah of host Singapore, and Malaysia's Welson Wee Sheng Sim.
