McGregor vs. Dos Anjos and Holm vs. Tate set for UFC 197
Irish mixed martial arts superstar Conor McGregor will get the chance to be the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles simultaneously when he battles current UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos on March 5 (March 6, PHL time) at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
McGregor (19-2), who became the undisputed UFC featherweight champion in his last fight by knocking out then title holder Jose Aldo in 13 seconds, is riding a fifteen-fight winning streak since 2010.
Dos Anjos (25-7), meanwhile, is also coming off an impressive knockout victory after stopping the highly-touted Donald Cerrone in just 66 seconds in December.
In the co-main event, former world boxing champion and current UFC women's bantamweight champion Holly Holm is slated to defend her title for the first against Miesha Tate (17-5).
Unbeaten in her ten MMA fights, Holm, 34, is most remembered for winning the UFC title by knocking out Ronda Rousey in two rounds this past November. - JM SIASAT/RAF, GMA News
