Pinoy fighter Eric Kelly headlines ONE Championship card in Malaysia 

 

Filipino mixed martial arts fighter Eric Kelly is scheduled to lock horns with Ev Ting of Malaysia in the main event of ONE Championship: Clash of Heroes on January 29 at Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

Kelly, 33, has long been one of the most promising MMA fighters to come out from the Philippines holding an impressive 12-1 record. Known to finish most of his fights, Kelly won nine of his fights by submission and one by technical knockout.

 

Ting, meanwhile, holds a 10-3 record and is coming off a first round submission victory over Honorio Banario of Team Lakay. 

 

Baguio City's Team Lakay standout Eduard Folayang is meanwhile slated to make his cage return against Japanese Tetsuya Yamada in the undercard.

 

Folayang, who suffered a devastating first round knockout defeat in December 2014, is scheduled to duke it out against Yamada for three five-minute rounds.

 

Another Team Lakay fighter is also in the undercard as 26-year-old Geje Eustaquio is set to square-off with Saiful Merican of Malaysia. 

 

Eustaquio was scheduled to feature last month in the Vera vs. Cheng undercard in Manila, but the contest was called off after his opponent, Yang Jiang Bing, died. — APG, GMA News
