The designer of the winning logo will receive one million yen and a ticket to the opening ceremony of both the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
In August last year, the original logo, designed by Kenjiro Sano, was scrapped as it was deemed to be plagiarized from a Belgian theatre logo design.
Meanwhile, the 2016 Olympic Games will commence in Rio de Janeiro on August 5 this year. —Kiersnerr Gerwin Tacadena/VVP, GMA News
