Brock Lesnar comments on McGregor being the biggest draw in MMA: I don't care
Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar cares very little if he or Conor McGregor happens to be the biggest draw in the world of mixed martial arts today.
The 38-year-old Lesnar has created a lot of buzz since it was announced that he's taking a time off of professional wrestling to compete in the co-main event of UFC 200 against the hard-hitting Mark Hunt.
Lesnar last fought in 2011 when he lost against Alistair Overeem by knockout. Despite coming off a two-fight losing streak, Lesnar is expected to bring a lot of star power in his return to the UFC.
"If somebody wants to state that they're the biggest pay-per-view draw in the world, I don't care," Lesnar told ESPN referring to McGregor.
"I've never came out and said, 'Hey listen, I hold the most pay-per-view buys'. All I know is what I got paid and I'm happy to do so."
Lesnar admits that he's yet to meet the UFC featherweight champion, but commended McGregor's ability to promote both himself and the sport.
"I don't know him, but I know of Conor McGregor and this sport has evolved even from the first time that I entered into the Octagon," said Lesnar.
"I think that people were finding out that you have to talk the talk and more importantly you have to walk the walk. And so for guys that can talk and walk the walk, I think it's great. It's great for the company. I've got no qualms with anybody." — APG, GMA News
