SINGAPORE - Dubai-based Filipino mixed martial artist Vaughn Donayre slammed his local foe Amir Khan ahead of their upcoming fight on the undercard of ONE Championship: Defending Honor on November 11 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Donayre, who last fought in April when he lost to Team Lakay's Honorio Banario, also reacted to Khan's comment that he is a stronger and more dynamic striker over his Filipino foe.

"Banario is the more dynamic striker. I messed the game plan with Honorio because I couldn't find my range, I couldn't find my game. Honorio is the better guy and I held up for three rounds. What does he got, really? He's got a good team behind him, that's it," said Donayre (8-5).

"The thing is he's growing and he's getting better, I give him that. But from what I've seen in his fights, have you seen when Wiratchai pressed the action, he was cornered he didn't know what is going on. I would do that to him, who has he fought? These guys that he fought are good strikers but no ground game."

A purple belt in Jiu-Jitsu, Donayre further cites that he knows exactly what to do against Khan come fight night.

"When I try to press the action on him he will know he's going to be in a fight," Donayre quipped. "I believe I am bigger and stronger, and I have that advantage in the grappling aspect." — BAP, GMA News
