PNP Chief Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa took a time off from his hectic schedule to show his support to Filipino MMA fighters who are competing on 'ONE: Kings of Destiny' Friday night at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

Admittedly a mixed martial arts fan since the days of Royce Gracie, Bato showed up at the arena wearing a Team Lakay t-shirt.

He says Filipinos should support their athletes, and even predicted that Eduard Folayang would successfully defend his lightweight title against Ev Ting in the main event.

The mixed martial arts event, dubbed as the biggest so far in Manila, features defending ONE Lightweight Champion Eduard "the Landslide" Folayang going against Malaysian contender Ev "E.T." Ting.

As of posting, former ONE featherweight champion Honorio Banario of Baguio City's Team Lakay trumpled Jaroslav Jartim.

Meanwhile, Filipino flyweight prospect Danny Kingad won via a unanimous decision over Malaysia's Ammad Aiman. — BAP, GMA News
