UP Pep Squad returns to UAAP cheerdance competition

Two years after their second-place finish in 2015, the University of the Philippines Pep Squad is returning to the UAAP Cheerdance Competition.

According to a list released on Sunday, defending champion National University Pep Squad will be the first to perform at this year's competition, followed by the De La Salle University Animo Squad, the Adamson University Pep Squad, the Far Eastern University Cheering Squad, and the University of the East Pep Squad.

The last three cheerdance groups to showcase their performance are the UP Pep Squad, the University of Santo Tomas Salinggawi Dance Troupe and the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Babble Battalion.

Heads up to students and supporters of each school, as the UAAP Cheerdance Competition management also released the seating arrangement for the big event on December 2.

This year's competition will be held at Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.

The UP Pep Squad withdrew from last year's competition in protest of the 2015 judging. The squad filed an official letter of complaint questioning the results of the 2015 competition, where it placed 2nd runner-up behind the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe and the winning NU Pep Squad. — Anna Felicia Bajo/BM, GMA News
