Danny Kingad decisions Senzo Ikeda in Tokyo
TOKYO —Team Lakay's Danny Kingad has advanced to the semi-finals of the ONE flyweight world grand prix following a unanimous decision nod over hometown favorite Senzo Ikeda on the undercard of ONE: A New Era at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan.

Both fighters traded punches and leg kicks in the opening round. A hard leg kick from Kingad threw the Japanese off balance, as the Filipino successfully worked to score a takedown. While on the mat, Kingad tried to secure a rear-naked choke but to no avail.
Kingad dropped Ikeda with a left hook in the opening seconds of round two. They opted to trade strikes on their feet, but it was Kingad who landed the cleaner and heavier blows.
Kingad and Ikeda toned down their pace in round three. They mostly fought standing up, each landing significant strikes of their own until the final bell.
All three judges saw the fight for Kingad after three rounds. He improved his record to 10-1 while Ikeda fell to 12-7. —LBG, GMA News
