Former ONE lightweight world champion Eduard Folayang's dreaded wushu striking was in full display until it was cut short due to an accidental headbutt against Amarsanaa Tsogookhuu, Friday night at ONE: Masters of Fate.

The Mongolian pressed the action as soon as the first bell, but it was Folayang who landed the clean strikes with his patented wushu kicks to the leg, head, and mid-section.

It was more of the same in round two, though Tsogookhuu was able to sneak in his jabs here and there.

An unintentional clash of heads opened a deep cut below Folayang's left cheekbone which prompted the referee to halt the contest and go to the scorecards.

All three judges scored the bout in favor of Folayang, as he walked away with a technical decision win and improved his record to 22-8 while Tsogookhuu dropped to 6-2. — BAP, GMA News
