Eustaquio ends Tauru with highlight-reel knockout kick to the body

Former ONE flyweight world champion Geje Eustaquio is back to his winning ways following a third-round knockout over Finnish grappling wizard Toni Tauru, Friday night at ONE: Masters of Fate.
Tauru tried to repeat his success from 2016 as he quickly caught Eustaquio's back and attempted a rear-naked choke. Eustaquio, however, was able to reverse the position and forced to have the match fought standing up.
It was a striking battle in round two as Eustaquio was able to nullify Tauru's height and reach advantage with his counter-left hooks.
It was seemingly a target practice for the Filipino in round three as he repeatedly landed his signature leg kicks. A turning back kick to the rib cage ultimately reduced Tauru to a knee.
Knowing his opponent is out, Eustaquio didn't bother to throw any follow-up, and the referee was quick to step in to stop the contest at the 2:11 mark of round three.
The win had placed Eustaquio back to the winner's circle as he improved his record to 13-8 while Tauru dropped to 11-8-1. — BAP, GMA News
