Rachelle, Paul dela Cruz nail first archery gold for PHL
The Philippines captured its first gold archery at the Southeast Asian Games on Monday, courtesy of Rachelle and Paul dela Cruz.
The pair slipped past Vietnam's Van Day Nguyen and Kieu Oanh Chau, 148-147, in the mixed team compound category for gold.

In other sports, the Philippines also hauled more medals in the biennial meet.
In squash, Reymark Begornia, Christopher Buraga, Robert Garcia, and David Pelino bagged the silver in the men's team event. Jemyca Aribado, Yvonne Dalida, Jimmie Avilla also copped the bronze in the women's team event.
The Philippine polo team got a bronze in Division B. Filipino trackster Sonny Wagdos also nabbed bronze in the men's 5000-meter dash, while Charmaine Dolar placed third in the women's individual aerobic gymnastics. —MGP, GMA News
