Pinoy tracksters add 2 silvers to PHL medal haul


Filipino track athletes nabbed two more silver medals at the Southeast Asian Games on Monday at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium.

Carter James Lilly bagged the silver in the men's 800m, clocking in at 1:50.17. He finished behind Vietnam's Van Thai Duong, who had a time of 1:49.91.

Royson Vincent of Malaysia registered 1:50.68 for the bronze.

In the women's 4X100m relay, Team Philippines also reaped the silver medal.

Zion Rose Nelson, Kayla Anise Richardson, Kyla Ashely Richardson, and Kristina Knott finished with a time of 44.57 seconds, just behind Thailand who recorded 44.38 seconds for the gold.

Vietnam ran 45.17 seconds to secure the bronze.

Meanwhile, Anfernee Lopena, Clinton Kingsley Bautista, Francis Medina, Eric Shauwn Cray also copped the bronze in the men's 4X100m relay.
