Swimming delivers 2 more SEA Games bronzes for the Philippines


Philippine swimmers on Monday added two bronze medals to the country's medal tally in the 30th Southeast Asian Games at the New Clark City Aquatics Center.

Luke Michael Gebbie clinched bronze after clocking 22.62 seconds in the men's 50-meter freestyle event.

Singapore's Jonathan Tan (22.25) and Tzen Wei Teong (22.40) nabbed gold and silver, respectively.

Meanwhile, Jasmine Alkhaldi picked up bronze in the women's 100-meter butterfly category after registering 1:00.39.

Singaporean Ting Wen Quah pocketed gold after clearing 59.62 seconds, while Jing Wen Quah managed silver after a 59.73-second output.
