Filipino kickboxers bag 1 gold, 2 silvers in SEA Games

The Philippine kickboxing team delivered one gold and two silver medals at the Southeast Asian Games on Monday at the Cuneta Astrodome.

Jerry Olsim swept Thailand's Sarayut Klinming, 3-0, to claim the country's first gold in the men's 69kg kick light category.

Renalyn Dacquel surrendered to Vietnamese Thi Hang Nga Nguyen, 1-2, to settle for silver in the women's 48kg full contact event.

Meanwhile, Jomar Balangui added another silver after losing to Ba Hoi Pham of Vietnam, 1-2, in the men's 54kg low kick division.
