Alex Silva will look for a submission to end Joshua Pacio's world title reign

Alex Silva will be coming with all he's got when he challenges Team Lakay's Joshua Pacio for the ONE strawweight world title.
The pair is slated to collide in the main event of ONE: Fire & Fury on Friday, January 31 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
A jiu-jitsu black and former holder of the ONE strawweight world title, the Brazilian boldly stated that he's going to look for a submission to end Pacio on fight night.
"His ground and against my ground? We need to see it on Friday night. I'm always confident and believe a 1000% percent on my skills and ground game. If he stays with me 25 minutes on the ground eventually I'm going to submit him," said Silva.
"A lot could happen. This is mixed martial arts we're going to start standing, but the fans know my skills in grappling so I'll do my best to try bring the fight to my area."
Silva is, however, aware that getting past Pacio in front of a hostile crowd would not be a walk int he park.
"We respect each other a lot. I see him as a [well-rounded fighter] therefore he's a champion," he stated.
"If he doesn't have the skills then he won't be. He has striking, has a lot of submissions on his record. That's why he's the champion."
A professional MMA fighter with 8 submission wins to his name, Silva predicted that he's going to have his hand raised in victory on Friday evening.
