E-Gilas picks up 2 wins vs Indonesia in perfect start to FIBA Esports Open campaign

The Philippines had a perfect start to its FIBA Esports Open campaign after dominating Indonesia in two games on Friday.

E-Gilas whipped their fellow Southeast Asians, 56-29, in the first game and duplicated the feat in the second match, winning 64-30.

A huge 17-point performance in the second game's third quarter while limiting the Indonesians to just three points was the highlight of their debut.

The Philippine team is composed of Rocky Braña, Philippe Alcaraz IV, Clark Banzon, Al Timajo, Aljon Cruzin, Rial Polog Jr., and Custer Galas.

The two teams will play again on Saturday at 6:45 pm and 7:25 pm. The games are streamed on FIBA’s Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube channels.
