Khabib Nurmagomedov opens as the betting favorite over Justin Gaethje

Reigning UFC lightweight world champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has opened as the betting favorite over UFC interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje.

The pair is scheduled to meet in a unification bout on October 24 in a yet to be determined venue according to UFC President Dana White.

Oddsmakers have Nurmagomedov as a -225 favorite against Gaethje, who checks in as a +190 underdog.

Other than the imminent showdown between the two, oddsmakers also weighed in on a potential showdown between Nurmagomedov and retired two-division champion Georges St. Pierre.

Should the two share the cage as previously teased, Nurmagomedov is still seen as the favorite with -200 odds while St. Pierre is at +170.
