Dana White blasts De La Hoya's prospective comeback: 'Cocaine isn't cheap'

UFC President Dana White has thrown shade at Oscar De La Hoya for wanting to make a comeback at the age of 47.

The former six-division champion De La Hoya ended speculations in a recent interview with ESPN stating that he is indeed making a ring return.

During the post-fight press con of UFC on ESPN 15, White was asked for his thoughts about De La Hoya’s comeback and was to trash the boxing promoter.

“Cocaine isn’t cheap, it’s expensive,” he quipped. “You’ve got to make money.”

White was obviously referring to De La Hoya’s history of substance abuse.

The two have been on a public feud for years which escalated in 2017 after De La Hoya criticized the fight between UFC superstar Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. — LA, GMA News
