EJ Obiena continues to haul medals for the Philippines as he wins a bronze medal at the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix in Poland, early Saturday morning (Manila time).

The Olympic-bound pole vaulter placed third after clearing the 5.52 meter mark, tied with American Matt Ludwig.

Polish vaulters won the top two medals, with Piotr Lisek at 5.72-meters for the gold, and Robert Sobera for the silver at 5.62-meters.

“5th podium finish in 7 competitions this season (however 1 was cancelled due to heavy rains),  placing third place at the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix 2020. Happy but realizing that I need to work harder. See you in the next competitions!” Obiena shared on Facebook.
