Colby Covington dedicates win to first responders, calls Lebron James a spineless coward
Former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington held nothing back to campaign for the presidential election, saluting first responders, and blasting the US government’s critics.
The 32-year-old Covington, a staunch and vocal supporter of Donald Trump, defeated former UFC welterweight world titleholder Tyron Woodley via fifth-round technical knockout in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Covington vs. Woodley this Sunday at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
It was a dominant performance from Covington from start to finish, but he says Trump would even be more dominant against his rival for the presidency Joe Biden.
“The silent majority is ready to make some noise. If you thought that was a beating wait til November third when Donald Trump gets his hands on sleepy Joe. That's going to be a landslide,” said Covington in a post-fight interview.
Covington then dedicated his latest win to first responders as he also lashed out at the critics of the current administration, including NBA superstar Lebron James.
“I want to dedicate this fight to all first responders, all the military out there. This world would not be safe without you guys, you keep us safe not this woke athletes and spineless cowards like Lebron James,” said Covington.
Covington ended his short speech when he called out the current UFC welterweight world champion Kamaru Usman and fan-favorite Jorge Masvidal.
“Speaking of spineless cowards Marty fake newsman (Usman), street Judas (Masvidal) we got unfinished business. There's nowhere to run and there's nowhere to hide. I'm coming for you, you're next!” — LA, GMA News
