Eduard Folayang returns to action against Antonio Caruso on Oct. 30

Filipino mixed martial arts fans will have something to look forward to this month when former ONE lightweight world champion Eduard Folayang returns to the cage against Antonio Caruso.

The pair are set to duke it out on the undercard of ONE: Inside the Matrix on Oct. 30 in Singapore.

“I can say that on October 30th a few Filipino fighters from Team Lakay will be competing,” revealed ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

“I can say Eduard Folayang, I guess I’ll reveal one more fight on the card is Eduard Folayang versus Antonio Caruso from Australia. That will be also on the main card.”

According to Sityodtong, his team has been working closely with the government of Singapore as they plan to host ONE Championship’s international events in the Lion City.

Fans would also witness four world title fights on Oct. 30 as ONE middleweight world champion Aung La N Sang is set to defend his title against Reinier De Ridder.

The ONE lightweight world championship is also at stake that night when Christian Lee defends his gold-plated strap against the unbeaten Iuri Lapicus.

Martin Nguyen is scheduled to make the fourth defense of his ONE featherweight world title that night against Thanh Le.

China’s Xiong Jing Nan, meanwhile, will defend her ONE women’s strawweight world title against hometown favorite Tiffany Teo. – JM Siasat/RC, GMA News
