Jon Jones confesses he hid from commission under a cage out of fear of failing drug test

The truth is finally out surrounding the longstanding rumor about former UFC light heavyweight world champion Jon Jones allegedly hiding from a drug test.

Five years ago, reports came out that Jones hid under a cage at Jackson Wink MMA gym in New Mexico when officials came over to conduct an anti-doping test.

Jones has a history of testing positive for banned substances over the years, and the incident in New Mexico has been used as circumstantial evidence that he is on performance-enhancing drugs.

During his ongoing Twitter war with UFC middleweight world champion Israel Adesanya, Jones stated that the rumors really happened—but not with USADA and not because he is on PEDs.

“Fun Facts! I napped under the cage in 2010 cuz I didn’t wanna waste gas going home so I stayed at the gym till evening training. Jonathan stayed under the cage to hide from USADA during a random drug test,” Adesanya wrote on Twitter.

“Brother explain your titty. I was hiding from Nevada State Athletic Commission, not USADA and that was years ago. I had just smoked a blunt and was afraid I would fail my test for weed that’s the actual truth. Now everyone knows,” Jones replied.

Jones and Adesanya have been constantly trashing each other online since the latter defeated Paulo Costa at UFC 253 last month.

Adesanya, who holds an unbeaten MMA record of 20-0, previously expressed his desire to go up and weight to face Jones in the light heavyweight division. – JM Siasat/RC, GMA News
