Tolentino gets fresh term as POC president; Panlilio elected first VP, Gomez second VP
Cavite Rep. Abraham Tolentino will serve another term as Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president after winning the elections held on Friday.
Tolentino, who heads the Integrated Cycling Federation of the Philippines, defeated World Archery Philippines chief Clint Arañas, 30-22.
Philippine Bowling Federation's Stephen Hontiveros won the POC chairmanship against Tom Carrasco of the Triathlon Association of the Philippines, 28-25.
Basketball head Al Panlilio will be the POC first vice president after garnering 30 votes against athletics' Philip Juico with 23 votes, while fencing's Richard Gomez won second vice president against Ada Milby of rugby.
Baseball's Chito Loyzaga was elected as auditor, while gymnastics' Cynthia Carrion won as treasurer.
The elected executive board members include David Carter (judo), Charlie Ho (netball) Pearl Managuelod (muay thai), and Raul Canlas (surfing).
