Former UFC champ Vitor Belfort calls out Jake Paul

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort is the latest prizefighter to call out Youtube sensation Jake Paul.

In a video posted on Twitter by ONE Championship, the Brazilian mixed martial arts legend told the American to stay in his lane.

“Listen, man. You want respect you come into my world this is my kingdom. Your kingdom is doing YouTube videos for this young generation,” said Belfort.

“When I was a champion, you were born, you were just coming to this world. I’m going to put you to sleep, put you on your knees.”

The 43-year-old Belfort is currently signed with ONE Championship but has not fought since May 2018 following his knockout loss at the hands of Lyoto Machida at UFC 224.

Paul, meanwhile, is coming off a second-round knockout win over former NBA player Nate Robinson last November and has called out the likes of Conor McGregor to a fight.

And even though Paul has a couple of bouts under his belt, fans and prizefighters alike including Belfort, do not take the Youtuber seriously as a pro fighter.

“And listen, with all the respect that I have not for you, but for your fans, I’m going to show who you are,” Belfort uttered.

“You are a joke. You’re a Joke Paul, you are not Jake Paul, you are Joke Paul. I put you on my lap. Let’s go to sleep, baby.” -- BAP, GMA News
