Khabib Nurmagomedov was offered $100M to fight Floyd Mayweather, says manager

Seems like no amount of money can ever make UFC lightweight world champion Khabib Nurmagomedov dip his toes in boxing.

Nurmagomedov, who holds a perfect mixed martial arts record of 29-0, was apparently offered a staggering $100,000,000 to fight Floyd Mayweather, according to the Russian’s renowned manager Ali Abdelaziz.

“Listen, we got offered $100 million to fight Floyd Mayweather. Dana White was on board, everybody was on board,” Abdelaziz told TMZ.

Nurmagomedov, 32, last saw action in October against Justin Gaethje, where he won by way of second-round submission. He announced his retirement shortly after the fight.

The 43-year-old Mayweather, meanwhile, last figured in a pro boxing match against MMA superstar Conor McGregor in August 2017, where he won via 10th-round technical knockout. He is also scheduled to feature in an exhibition against YouTuber Logan Paul.

And while Nurmagomedov apparently declined to lock horns with Mayweather inside a boxing ring, his team left the door for a potential matchup in MMA.
