Raphael Assuncao pulled out of UFC Fight Night after testing positive for COVID-19
Brazilian mixed martial arts veteran Raphael Assuncao has been pulled out of his fight against Raoni Barcelos at UFC Fight Night on February 27 after he tested positive for COVID-19.
The 38-year-old Assuncao, who holds a professional MMA record of 27-8, announced the development on Twitter.
"2021 started a bit bumpy for sure... a car accident with nagging elbow/arm injury and COVID, unfortunately, has forced me out of my Feb 27 fight against [my] countryman Barcelos. PT is underway intensively, be back sooner than later. Thanks all," Assuncao wrote.

Thx all ????????????????
With Assuncao out of the picture, the world's premier MMA promotion would likely get a replacement foe for Barcelos.
