Jorge Masvidal responds to Kamaru Usman: 'Who is this guy fooling?'
UFC welterweight mixed martial arts fighter Jorge Masvidal has responded to Kamaru Usman's callout for a second fight.
The 33-year-old Usman made the third successful defense of his UFC welterweight title this weekend against Gilbert Burns at UFC 258 where he won via third-round technical knockout.
The champion then called out for a rematch with Masvidal shortly after the fight, promising to end the fan favorite decisively should they fight again.
"You've got this fake Jesus wannabe run his mouth, because he had a built-in excuse for stepping into that fight, why he took that loss, so next time I'm going to close his mouth for good and I'm going to put him to sleep," said Usman.
The pair of welterweights fought in July 2020 at UFC 251, a fight which Masvidal took on late notice after Usman's original foe Gilbert Burns tested positive for COVID-19.
They went the distance and Usman claimed a unanimous decision victory in what turned out to be an uneventful fight. And if they ever meet in a rematch, Masvidal is beyond confident that there is no way that Usman is stopping him.
"Game plan to putting me in a 'coffin' hug and toe stomp. Who is this guy fooling?" Masvidal wrote on Twitter.
