Oliveira comes back from first round scare, stops Chandler in 2 to win UFC lightweight title

Charles Oliveira won the vacant UFC lightweight world title following a second-round technical knockout win over Michael Chandler in the main event of UFC 262 this Sunday at the Toyota Center in Houston, USA.

Oliveira kept Chandler at bay early with his leg kicks. They eventually went to the mat where the Brazilian took the back and attempted a rear-naked choke. Chandler got back to his feet, hurt Oliveira with his punches, and made him bleed.

Oliveira survived the opening stanza then caught Chandler with a hard left hook in the opening seconds of round two. He followed up with a series of punches and an elbow before dropping Chandler anew with a left hook.
