Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier make weight for trilogy fight

The rubber match between former UFC two-division world champion Conor McGregor and former UFC interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier is official after both fighters tipped the scale at 156 lbs for the main event of UFC 264 on Sunday, July 11 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

“Tomorrow night I'm going to make this man pay with his life and I mean it. You're dead in the octagon tomorrow night,” said McGregor after the face-off.

The pair first met inside the cage at UFC 178 in 2014 where McGregor won via first-round technical knockout. Poirier evened the score last January at UFC 257 in Abu Dhabi, winning the rematch by technical knockout in round two.

In the co-main event, top welterweights Gilbert Burns and Stephen Thompson both weighed in at 170.5 pounds for their three-round encounter.
