Nesthy Petecio is a proud Pinoy as she carries Philippine flag in Tokyo Olympics closing ceremony

Olympic silver medalist Nesthy Petecio is one proud Filipino as the 2020 Tokyo Olympics come to a close.

In a tweet before the closing ceremony, Petecio posted a photo of her carrying the Philippine flag with the caption, "Isigaw mong malakas!!!!! PROUD AKO!! PROUD PINOY!"

Petecio settled for the silver medal on Tuesday after falling short against Japan's Sena Irie in the women's featherweight finals.

The Philippines capped off its Olympic stint with a total of four medals: one gold from weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz, two silvers from boxers Petecio and Carlo Paalam, and one bronze from Eumir Marcial.

This is the Philippines' biggest medal haul since the country started joining the Olympiad.
