Famed Dota shoutcaster Aldrin Paulo 'Dunoo' Pangan passes away
The esports community is mourning after the loss of one of its voices today.
Aldrin Paulo Pangan, also known as Dunoo to the gaming world, passed away on Friday, August 27.
Pangan, who is also popularly known as "Kuya D", was a Dota 2 shoutcaster best known for his energy and bond with fellow caster Marlon "Lon" Marcelo, that paved the way for the iconic battlecries like "lakad matatag" and "normalin."
Several gaming and esports organizations posted tributes to on social media, including LuponWXC, with which he was affiliated.

Other organizations from the community paid tribute to Pangan on Friday as well.

On his Facebook fan page, Pangan had posted several live videos in the past weeks detailing his battle with an illness. One of those videos was captioned "COVID Day 5".
Marcelo also made a reference to COVID-19 on a post, while LuponWXC encouraged people to "have your vaccines".
