Yuka Saso finishes at joint 19th in ShopRite LPGA Classic

Filipina Olympian and US Open Women's champion Yuka Saso finished in joint 19th place in the ShopRite LPGA Classic held in New Jersey over the weekend.

After the third round, Saso finished seven under par with 206 strokes, tied with seven other golfers.

Saso was in joint 11th at the end of the first round but three bogeys and a double bogey in the second round proved costly to Saso's title bid.

While Saso had an eagle in the third hole and birdies at the eighth and 14th hole, bogeys at the 6th and 15th hole of the third round gave her the seven under par finish.

France's Celine Boutier won the tournament with 14-under par, while Canada's Brooke Henderson and Koreans Jin Young Ko and Inbee Park were tied for second place with a 13-under finish.

Filipinos Bianca Pagdanganan and Dottie Ardina finished at joint 27th and 44th respectively.
