Max Holloway outpoints Yair Rodriguez at UFC Fight Night
Former UFC featherweight world champion Max Holloway scored a unanimous decision nod in his five-round barnburner against Yair Rodriguez in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. Rodriguez this Sunday at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
Two of the best featherweights in the world, Holloway and Rodriguez peppered each other with hard strikes to the head and body paired with takedowns and grappling throughout the fight. In the end, all three judges saw the contest for Holloway after five five-minute rounds of action.

"Yair is a dangerous man. If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best, and the best is Blessed. I've got a win over the 155-pound champion, we've got Alex [Volkanovski], I'm on the shortlist for Conor McGregor, we are ready whenever,” Holloway said after the fight.
The exciting performance improved Holloway’s record to 23-6 while Rodriguez, who is coming off a two-year layoff, fell to 13-3.
