Blacklist coach BON CHAN on M3 revenge vs rival Onic Indonesia: 'It's so satisfying'

SINGAPORE—Aside from having an eye on the title, Blacklist International marched into the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M3 World Championship here with another mission: exact revenge on Onic Esports of Indonesia.

That was what exactly happened when the Philippine bets pulled off a 2-1 victory against the Indonesians in their best-of-three playoff series, formally eliminating Onic Esports from contention.

And head coach Kristoffer "BON CHAN" Ricaplaza beamed with satisfaction as his wards were able to avenge their loss to Onic Esports in the MPL Invitational .

"It's so satisfying," BON CHAN said in the post-game press conference on Tuesday.

"Very satisfying because first, this is a major tournament unlike the MPLI. MPLI was just like a side quest and this [M3] is a main quest so it's very satisfying that we took revenge on them on the world stage."

Blacklist is already through the next round of the M3 lower bracket playoff round where it will be pitted against the winner of the match between Bedel and Vivo Keyd, who are colliding as of posting time.

BON CHAN also explained that their heartbreaking loss from BloodThirstyKings of North America in the first round of the upper bracket playoffs did take a toll on them.

He, however, said that they've learned their lessons from that setback and stressed the team was able to apply it in today's game against Onic.

"We lost our identity during our match against BTK so we just pulled together and returned to our same identity today."
