Philippines' Bren Esports, Smart Omega among teams in Mobile Legends Women's Invitational
Two Filipino teams have been invited to take part in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women's Invitational.
Bren Esports and Smart Omega will field all-women teams in the tournament which will be held on January 27-30.
Bren Esports' team Victress will be composed of the players with the in-game names Ashqt, Defrost, Lexaaa, Krish, and BREN Taro.
Meanwhile, Smart Omega will have Mery Christine "Meraaay" Vivero, Rica Fatima "Amore" Amores, Kaye "Keishi" Alpuerto, Fatima Phoebe "Fibii" Taburnal, and Sheen "Shinoaa" Perez.
Thailand and Laos' IDNS Princess, Malaysia's Team OnAirPipol and Team Karra, Cambodia's Impunity Scarlet, and Singapore's Lugiámi will also compete in the tournament which will have a prize of USD 15,000. Two teams from Indonesia will be revealed on January 23.
Moonton said the tournament aims to serve as a platform for women empowerment.
