Blacklist takes down Bren as 4 MPL teams secure wins in MLBB Sibol qualifiers

RSG Philippines, Onic Philippines, Nexplay Evos, and Blacklist International took care of separate foes to march into the upper bracket of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Sibol Qualifiers Phase 2 on Thursday.

RSG opened the day with a 2-1 squeaker against 2021 MLBB Southeast Asian Cup champs Omega Esports.

Onic PH and Nexplay, meanwhile, made quick work of their less heralded counterparts as they swept Origen Esports and El Granador Esports, respectively.

Reigning world champions Blacklist capped the day with a 2-1 win against a revamped Bren roster to complete the upper bracket semis cast.

The four losers in Day 1 will continue their journey in the do-or-die lower bracket of the double-elimination tournament.

The Sibol qualifier serves as the selection for the national team to represent the Philippines in the Southeast Asian Games 2022.
