Bren Victress, Omega Empress to clash in MLBB Women's Invitational playoff round

It's going to be an early Pinoy clash as the country's two bets, Bren Victress and Omega Empress, will face each other in the playoff round of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Women's Invitational 2022 after concluding their respective group stage campaigns on Friday.

Bren finished the round with a 1-0 win over Lugiami of Singapore in their best-of-one series to wind up second in Group B with a 2-1 win-loss record.

Victress had a split result on the opening day on Thursday, escaping On Air Pipol of Malaysia but falling to Indonesia's Bigetron Era.

Omega, meanwhile, wrapped up the group stage in third place in Group A after garnering 2 wins and three losses.

After a split result on the opener as well, Empress picked a win today against Karra of Malaysia, 1-0. But the Filipinas absorbed defeats from GPX Basreng of Indonesia and Karra again in the tiebreaker match.

Bren Victress and Omega Empress will now face off in a best-of-three playoff series.

The winner of the match between Bren and Omega will earn an outright semifinals ticket and move two wins from bagging the grand prize of $6,400.

The playoff stage begins on Saturday, January 29.
