Jake Paul claims getting support from UFC fighters for being critical of the MMA promotion and Dana White

Youtube sensation-turned professional boxer Jake Paul claims that he is getting lots of support from UFC fighters for criticizing the mixed martial arts promotion and its president Dana White.

Paul, 25, has repeatedly criticized White for UFC fighter pay and has recently released a diss track rapping “f-ck Dana White.” In a recent interview with ESPN, he vowed to disrupt how White runs the UFC and revealed his plan to create a fighter’s union.

“There are a lot of fighters, a lot of big fighters in the UFC, who message me privately and say, ‘We love this, this is hilarious. Keep on going, but I can’t support this publicly,’” Paul told MMA Hour.

Paul, who is 5-0 with 4 knockouts as a pro boxer, maintained that MMA fighters signed with the UFC won’t have to express their support in public. He has so far fought two former UFC fighters and reiterated that he is out to give them a fair shake.

“I don’t want them to sacrifice. They have to put food on their family’s table. I happen to have a platform to be able to do this. So I accept the responsibility and I’m going to do it. I’ve made that decision,” said Paul.

“I’m going to war and I’m not backing down no matter what happens. I don’t need the fighters in the UFC to support this,” he added.

“I have gotten Tyron Woodley his highest payday and Ben Askren his highest payday. So these fighters who are always mistreated, I’m taking action, I’m backing it up. I’m not letting off any time soon and I actually care.” — LA, GMA News
