NXPE keeps Bren winless in MPL PH S9
Nexplay Evos sustained their lethal form as they swept Bren Esports, 2-0, in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 9 on Sunday.
They upped their total to 8pts to rise to 3rd in the rankings after Week 2 of the regular season. Bren on the other hand suffered from a fourth straight loss via sweep.
In Game 1, NXPE rode the early game prowess of Michael “MP the King” Endino (Roger) as his 6th minute 4-0-0 KDA translated into a quick inhibitor turret push in the bottom lane by the 8th minute.
Bren managed to pump some life with a lord take in the 9th minute but NXPE took over a 13th with a 4-1 exchange that led to a sudden conclusion, 1-0.
The M2 world champions then decided to field in Allan “Lusty” Castromayor Jr. (Grock) and rookie Jomari “Jowm” Pingol (Popol) but the result was all the same.
NXPE battered their rivals with a 15-1 annihilation on the kill tally in 14 minutes for the sweep, 2-0.
