TNC Pro Team proved that their early season success was no fluke as they handed RSG Philippines their first loss of the season via a 2-0 sweep in Week 3 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 9 on Friday.
They had to weather a storm from Jonard Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto who finished with a 5-0-2 KDA in Game 1 and a 2-1-2 KDA in Game 2, his only death coming in during the final moments. TNC upped their win-loss card to 3-1 (10pts) while RSG fell to 3-1 (9pts).
In Game 1, RSG took control of the early game owing to a 2-0 wipe during the 2nd minute turtle fight but TNC slowly equalized, culminating in a 13th minute lord steal despite staring at a 7-4 kill deficit.
Another 2-0 takedown that TNC scored in a 15th minute lord fight helped them turn the tables and wipe two RSG inhibitor turrets.
TNC then clutch-countered a 19th minute conceal play by RSG with a pick off on Dylan “Light” Catipon (Edith) that decimated RSG's defensive stand to take the opener, 1-0.
TNC opted to go with the roaming Franco pick in Game 2 that quickly delivered good results as Ben “Benthings” Maglaque successfully disrupted RSGs's jungle helping Daniel “SDzyz” Chu (Aamon) establish a comfortable lead over Demonkite (Lancelot).
With the early game delay, TNC dictated the tempo all-game long and scored a finishing 4-1 takedown in the 14th minute to complete the sweep.
