Jeremy Miado eyes $50k bonus in all-Filipino showdown vs Lito Adiwang at ONE: X
Hard-hitting mixed martial arts strawweight Jeremy Miado is eager to impress to make extra cash when he takes on Team Lakay's Lito Adiwang at ONE Championship's tenth-anniversary special ONE: X on March 26 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Miado, 10-4 as a professional mixed martial artist, is hoping to pocket ONE's $50,000 bonus that is awarded to performing fighters after each event. He is coming off back-to-back stoppages over Miao Li Tao and hopes to do the same against Adiwang.
"I will get the win and bring home the US$50,000 bonus. I want to be part of the (strawweight) rankings and soon get a title shot," Miado boldly predicted.
Just like Adiwang, Miado vowed that there will be no holding back when he locks horns with his countryman on March 26. Banking on his Marrok Force training in Thailand, Miado said that he is looking to shock the Team Lakay standout on fight night.
"Every fight is always different because fighters have different strengths and weaknesses. Another difference now is that I am fighting against my fellow countryman," Miado said.
"We are both strikers, and we both know our games. While he moves fast when he fights, I have a longer reach, which I will use to my advantage. I won't mention anything more, to make it a surprise."
