MMA champ Yaroslav Amosov retrieves his belt from ruined building in Ukraine
A video of Bellator welterweight world champion Yaroslav Amosov is making the rounds on social media after he was seen retrieving his belt in what looked like a damaged building in Ukraine.
Amosov, 26-0 as a mixed martial arts fighter, was originally scheduled to defend his gold-plated strap against Michael Page on May 13 but had to withdraw from the contest when he decided to stay home in Ukraine to fight the Russian invasion.

“A belt with a lot of history! Now I won’t give it away, mom safely hid him and he survived the bombing,” the video caption wrote as shared by Bellator President Scott Coker.
With no clear timeline when Amosov could get back to fighting, Bellator decided to put up an interim welterweight title during the champion’s absence.
