UFC announces championship double header for UFC 274

Two world title fights are slated to take place at UFC 274 on Sunday, May 8 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, USA.

In the main event, UFC lightweight world champion Charles Oliveira is slated to his title against the hard-hitting number one contender Justin Gaethje.

Oliveira, 32-8 as a professional mixed martial artist, is riding a ten-fight winning streak and is coming off a submission win over former UFC interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier.

Gaethje (23-3), meanwhile, is coming off a unanimous decision nod over former Bellator lightweight world champion in their 2021 fight of the year this past November.

In the co-main event, UFC women's strawweight champion Rose Namajunas will look to avenge her loss to no. 2 contender Carla Esparza.

Namajunas and Esparza first met inside the cage in 2014 where the latter won by way of third-round submission.
