Athletics collects medals for Team Philippines
The Philippine athletics team added more hardware to the country's medal haul in the 31st Southeast Asian Games on Saturday in Vietnam.
Twins Kyla and Kayla Richardson completed a 2-3 finish in the women's 200-meter event.
Kyla (23.560 seconds) and Kayla (23.870 seconds) placed behind Singapore's Veronica Shanti Pereira, who clocked in 23.520 seconds.
Meanwhile, Melvin Calano claimed a bronze medal in the javelin throw (66.86) event after finishing third behind hometown bet Van Nguyen Hoai (70.87) and Indonesia's ABD Hafiz (70.58).

In the men's 1500 meter event, Alfrence Braza copped a bronze, while Joida Gagnao Gadot won a bronze of her own in the women's 5000 meter event.
