Jiu-jitsu, cycling, swimming bag medals in Hanoi


The national jiu-jitsu team on Sunday added three more medals for the Philippines in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam on Sunday.

Jollirine Co bagged a silver in the women's 45 kg nogi, while Marc Alexander Lim and Jan Vincent Cortez nabbed bronze medals in the men's 68 kg gi and men's 56 kg nogi events, respectively.

Cyclists John Derrick Farr and Naomi Gardoce also got bronze medals in men's and women's mountain bike downhill events, respectively.

Jessica Joy Geriane, meanwhile, finished second in the women's 50 meter backstroke to claim silver.

As of writing, according to the SEA Games website, the Philippines ranks third in the overall standings with 20 golds, 26 medals, and 36 bronzes for a total of 82 medals.
