Isleta, Geriane cop silver-bronze finish in SEA Games' 100m backstroke event


Filipino swimmers Chloe Isleta and Jessica Joy Geriane gave the Philippines two medals in one single event after they finished in top three of the women's 100m backstroke event of the 31st SEA Games on Tuesday.

Isleta clocked in one minute and 3.78 seconds to claim the silver plum while Geriane registered one minute and 3.86 seconds to pick up the bronze in the tournament held at the My Dinh Sports Palace.

Indonesia's Flairene Candrea Wonomiharjo won the gold after a time of one minute and 3.36 seconds.

Isleta on Monday copped the gold medal in women's 200m backstroke to add to her growing medal collection in the biennial meet.
