Carlo Biado gets back at Johann Chua, wins gold in 10-ball pool singles

Carlo Biado exacted revenge against fellow Filipino Johann Chua and took the gold medal on Saturday in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Biado defeated Chua, 9-3, in the men's 10-ball pool singles event, just days after the latter took the gold in the 9-ball event.

With the gold-silver finish, both men will bring home a gold and a silver from their individual events.

The Philippine billiards team has four gold medals, two of which came from Rubilen Amit and one each from Biado and Chua, four silvers care of Chezka Centeno, Jefrey Roda, and each again from Biado and Chua, and two bronze medals from Efren "Bata" Reyes and Francisco dela Cruz.

This is the Philippines' third gold medal for Saturday's events after Amit's win and another one from the men's tennis doubles event of Treat Huey and Ruben Gonzales.
