Former UFC champ Junior dos Santos suffers freak injury in Eagle FC debut
Former UFC heavyweight world champion Junior dos Santos suffered a freak injury in his Eagle FC debut against Yorgan De Castro on Saturday at the FLXcast Arena in Miami, USA.
Dos Santos, 38, was winning the fight until he dislocated his shoulder after throwing a right hand in round three.
It was an anticlimactic ending to the fight, which was costly for the Brazilian as the injury resulted in a technical knockout loss.
"Feel bad for Junior dos Santos. He looked amazing tonight," Eagle FC owner and former UFC lightweight world champion Khabib Nurmagomedov tweeted after the fight.
