Geje Eustaquio responds to Mangat's callout: 'Let's do it next week'
Former ONE flyweight world champion Geje Eustaquio has responded to Gurdarshan Mangat's callout following his win at ONE 158 on Friday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Mangat, who improved his mixed martial arts record to 17-3 after beating Yodkaikaew Fairtex via split decision, said it is about time that a fight with Eustaquio comes to fruition.
"The Philippines versus India, Geje Eustaquio. We have been scheduled twice before but because of COVID-19 things happened so this would be the third time," Mangat said after the fight.
"The Philippines would love it, the Indian fans would love it. We can do it in Manila, we can finally take one to India or we can do it in Singapore."
Eustaquio, who last saw action in October 2020 when he defeated Min Jong Song via unanimous decision, answered the callout with a video saying that he is ready to fight anytime.
"I want to congratulate Mangat for winning tonight that was a very good fight. Thanks for calling me out, brother. What a warrior does is respond, and I want to say yes," Eustaquio said.
"Let's do it! Anytime, anywhere! If you are healthy let's do it next week. I am very much ready. If not next week, let's do it next month. Anywhere, anytime, I am ready. Let's do this!"
